Park City and Summit County are finalists for the Georgetown Energy Prize. This $5 million prize is awarded to the community with the greatest reduction in energy for residences and government. We’re working with Summit Community Power Works (SCPW) to help Park City employees to switch their lights to LED bulbs, and install smart thermostats to save energy and protect the environment in which we live, work and play.

Here are the programs for Park City Mountain Employees:

GET 4 FREE LED BULBS
Log into Rocky Mountain Power’s website at www.rockymountainpower.net with your power bill number and a coupon code and sign up! You will shipped 4 LED lights for free, Just stop by HR for a coupon code. Available to Park City Mountain employees only, 4 light bulbs per power bill.

SAVE $150 ON A SMART THERMOSTAT
Employees can save $150 on the purchase a smart thermostat. Vail Resorts will send you a $50 rebate with proof of purchase, fill out the $100 Questar gas rebate for even bigger savings. Detailed instructions on both rebates are available in HR. This drops the cost of a Nest or or an Ecobee Thermostat from $250 to $100! Available for Park City Mountain employees only.

SAVE ON SOLAR PANELS
Mountain Town Community Solar (MTCS) is a community-led bulk-purchase solar program that makes installing residential photovoltaic (PV) solar easier and more affordable. The "bulk purchase" allows homeowners to receive a bulk discount based on the high volume of installations through the program. Visit www.mycommunitysolar.com to learn more!  This program is open to all of Summit County.
