We come for the powder, but we stay for the après ski, the town, and the beautiful views. Park City is full of stylish bars, romantic settings, and upscale shopping. Enjoy your mountain-town vacation by checking out a few of my go-to spots when you’re off the slopes.
Dinner at The Farm
The Farm is my favorite restaurant to take friends or family to when they come to visit Park City. The Farm is always so accommodating and the service is excellent.
The local charcuterie board is an easy pleaser for the table and the dinner plants range from Steelhead Trout to the Rack of Lamb. Plus, if you’re a wine person, they have a 500+ bottled wine list.
It’s nice to be able to walk around the Canyons Village after dinner. I like to sip on an after dinner coffee while looking into the shop windows in the plaza.
Whether it’s just you, on a date, or with a group of friends, you’ll want to head to The Farm.
Sunset Sleigh Rides
A unique and memorable night in Park City is by horse drawn sleigh ride. After hours, when all of the skiers have gone home and the sun is setting behind the mountains, Park City Mountain offers sleigh rides around the slopes.
Perfect for date night, they have heavy wool blankets to put over the two of you. The way the hills turn light blue in the sunset is simply beautiful. Keep your eyes out for porcupines, eagles, and even moose!
Apres Ski at High West
One of my favorite ways to spend a ski day with my friends or my family is to ski to lunch or après ski at High West Distillery. The ski-in, ski-out factor is all too convenient and so rewarding.
Powder day? Grab a hot toddy with the American Prairie Bourbon. Bluebird? Definitely the Dead Man’s Boots cocktail. If you’re looking for something to share, I would go for 5-cheese fondue.
Even if you’re a local, going to High West still feels like vacation. The delicious whiskey, the outdoor fire pits, and the western saloons are good ‘ol fashioned fun.
Ride the Quicksilver Gondola
Whether you’re out to make a cool GoPro video of your vacation or skiing to any of the on-mountain restaurants, any reason is a good excuse to ride the Quicksilver Gondola. The Gondola crosses over Pinecone Ridge and shows some of the most scenic views of the Park City valley.
Cloud Dine, at the top of Dreamcatcher and Dreamscape lifts, and Miners Camp, at the bottom of Silverlode Express, are the restaurants that sit closest to either side of the Gondola and serve freshly made dishes like gourmet pizzas, Mediterranean gyros, and artisan salads.
Brunch at Silver Star Cafe
What’s the opposite of après? If youThe Quicksilver Gondola connecting America’s largest ski resort is now a staple of Park City and a must-ride.
Brunch at Silver Star Café’re going for a late start into your ski day, you’ll love the Silver Star Café that sits at the base of Silver Star lift. Brunch is served every weekend from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
The atmosphere is quaint and relaxing and the good service matches the décor. The brunch menu offers light breakfast meals and filling lunch items, but the best part is the brunch cocktails. The Cranberry-Spiced Collins uses a local gin and the Palo-mosa is a grapefruit twist on the classic.
Afterwards, hop on the lift for your afternoon delight turns on the mountain.
